Carry Forward
One Community. One Life. Carried Forward.
Carry Forward invites schools, families, organisations, and communities to honour a person murdered on October 7 or a hostage who lost their life in captivity. Together, they get to know how that person lived and create something meaningful in their memory.
It begins with a question: How can we carry their light forward?
The path we walk together
From remembrance to action
Carry Forward moves gently from getting to know a life, through a shared moment of light, and onward into action, connection, and community.

Remember
Discover the person behind the name through stories, photographs, music, and memories shared by those who knew them.

Light
Gather in a moment of remembrance. A light ceremony can become an annual tradition for a school or community.

Action
Create a project inspired by the person’s life and values. It might be an act of kindness, volunteering, art, community service, or an idea entirely your own.

Connection
The vision is to connect participants around the world through a digital map showing the lives they honour and the projects they create.

Community
Share reflections and ideas with others carrying lives forward. A proposed global relay would let one group say, “We carry forward…”, then invite another to do the same.

Remembering how they lived
Carry Forward is about remembering how people lived and allowing their values to inspire what we do next. Every school, family, organisation, and community can find its own way to take part.
You cannot change how their story ended. But you can help decide whether their story continues.
